Thanks for your hard work on my hip. Without your expert care and treatment I am not sure where I would be at this point. You are the very best, and I want you to know how much your efforts mean to me!

Dan I.

Doc, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for ALL of your excellent care and concern. You and your staff are awesome! I am sure this will be one of many injuries I recover from as I get old. It is comforting and reassuring to have you as my doctor.

After two months of my knee replacement, and free of pain, I came to Hawaii (North Shore of Dehu) for a vacation. I have been walking, swimming, and having a great time. Everything has been good. Thanks.

My name is David Bond and you fixed my left knee about a year ago. When I came to you I was depressed, because I could not pursue my passion of triathlon or do simple things without pain like play catch with my sons. It all hurt. You fixed my torn meniscus and perforated my worn patella. Probably just another day for you, but for me it was important. Last Sunday I completed my 5th Ironman triathlon in Canada. After my 112 mile bike ride I started a marathon. At about mile 22 I thought about all that I had been through physically, including the knee surgery, and I was thankful that I only felt muscular pain. I thought of you and wanted to thank you. (By the way, it took me 10 hours and 22 minutes to complete. I came in 5th place in my age group. All in all, a good experience.) This morning I found out that my colleague, Phil Gallant, was going to see you for his shoulder and I realized that I had the opportunity to thank you. So, thank you. Thank you for making me feel better. Thank you for giving me the change to pursue my passion and play baseball with my sons again.

Just want you to know how good my right knee feels. After the office visit on Monday, the knee still looked and felt the same. Also on Tuesday and on Wednesday. Thursday morning, got up and walked down the stairs without a single twinge or crunch. It has been years since it felt this good. Greatest thanks to you!

In 8 days of skiing and over 8 runs, the new knee works great. No pain and no brace required. It's almost like you knew what you were doing. Now can you make the rest of my body not hurt? Thanks for everything.

Canace S.

First of all, thank you for asking me the question "Why haven't you had your knees done?" That started everything. So many things I had decided I could never do again, I can do now WITHOUT pain and discomfort. I walked 4.5 miles the other day - NO PAIN. I go to the gym 6 days a week - I do a great leg workout - NO PAIN. When I go back to work, I will do a 12 hour shift without pain and discomfort - I won't feel 100 years old after my shift. I feel 20 years younger and I just want to thank you for becoming a doctor. To Dr. Tchejeyan's staff, Now that I am on the road to recovery, I want to stop and thank all of you for your "behind the scenes" assistance. You guys work very efficiently. When I made a phone call for needed paper work, it was always done when I arrived. Whenever I asked a dumb question, you guys always answered it with professionalism. Thank you for assisting with my new KNEES!!

Just wanted to thank you for being a very good and caring doctor. I was very happy to find out that I will not need a big surgery, rather a simple one on a later date. You are honest, smart and very comforting. I can tell you love being a doctor.

We just wanted to personally thank you, again, for the incredible work you performed on our son, Blake. We were so impressed with your expertise and manner and we are constantly touting your skills to friends and family in the area. Blake is progressing miraculously! Once you issued a full release to him in late May, he has never looked back. He's been on the playing field full-time ever since and has worked incredibly hard to gain back his strength and mobility. Watching him play the infield or swing a bat, one would never guess what he has overcome. Not only is Blake very busy resuming his baseball career, he is equally busy working on his college plans while he completes his Senior year at Oaks Christian. Believe it or not, he's been actively recruited by several NCAA Division I schools and just recently returned from a promising visit to the University of San Francisco. The fact that Blake has these opportunities at all is a tribute to your skilled care, along with the assistance of Tim Everitt at JMP Physical Therapy and Blake's shear commitment to proper rehabilitation. It has always been Blake's vision to pursue a degree in Kinesiology and/or Exercise Science and this injury only served to reinforce his interest in this field. Once, again, thank you for all you've done for Blake. We truly appreciate your passion and skill.

I just wanted to say thank you for all your help and guidance in making tough decisions about how to best heal and manage my pain. It's been a long road and I still have a ways to go, but I truly believe I've been on the right path this whole time, thanks to your expertise. I haven't felt this good in a long time. Thanks again!

I can't begin to thank you enough for all that you have done for me. You are an incredible doctor. I have always left your office with a state of peace and comfort thanks to your gifts as a person and physician, along with your staff. I am forever grateful for all that you have done to aid my body and piecing it back together. I am forever appreciative.

Renee, I think you already have an orthopedic surgeon but wanted to pass along this information just in case. Gail, I know that you are also having some knee problems so wanted to include you as well. The doctor who did my dad's second knee replacement was wonderful. His name is Dr. Tchejeyan. He practices at Los Robles hospital in Thousand Oaks and has his office right next to the hospital. A friend of my mother's just had a hip replacement and he was her doctor. My mother has been taking her for physical therapy to George Erb here in Camarillo. The physical therapist told my mother that they have had accident victims who have been put together piece by piece by this doctor and that he is wonderful. My mother has another friend who used to be a nurse on the floor of Los Robles and new heads up employee heath at the hospital. She told my mother that "he is the best." Also, after my dad's knee surgery, the Los Robles Nursing Association came out for follow-up home visits. They told my dad that Dr. Tchejeyan was one of the best doctors at Los Robles. Doctor Tchejeyan's phone number is 805-495-3687. Just wanted to pass this along in case you might be able to use the information at some point. It was great seeing you and the rest of our group last night! Renee, thank you for the chocolates! P.S. Dr. Tchejeyan also "patched up" my brother, Steve's, shattered ankle several years ago. Steve now runs marathons and competes in Triathlons.

You are my hero! Twice you have reassembled me, better than new. Your skills, your talents are exceptional. I thank you from my heart.

Maybeth R.

Thank you for making my hip replacement experience so positive. Not only do I think you are a great surgeon, but your obvious care and concern for your patients is very comforting. You totally put me at ease. I am so glad you're my doctor.

First and foremost, I would like to apologize for the delay of this letter. My name is Brian Powell, and thanks to you, I was able to have an unbelievably prompt and successful knee arthroscopy in July of this year. When I felt that I was going to have another knee surgery, it was a hard pill to swallow. Since I was young I have experienced various knee problems that put my life on hold for extended periods of time. I felt as if this situation would be no different. I would have to go through the appointments and delays while missing work and school. When I found out you and Dr. DeGrange were willing to help me, it sounded too good to be true. Thanks to you, I was able to enjoy the Fourth of July with my friends and be back at school on time to start the summer quarter at the Art Institute. Even with your extremely busy schedule, you went out of your way to fit me into appointments and surgery. For that I am extremely grateful. Thank you for taking care of me and making my life so much easier. I am now back in the water and surfing like it never happened. That is what I enjoy most in this world, and you helped me get back out there. Again, thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping someone you did not even know. I don't believe that anything I could do could return such a favor, but hopefully, one day someone will help you as you have helped me.

Brent D.

Thank you for your surgical skill and professionalism. My right hip seems to be coming along. I also enjoy your sense of humor! You can be sure that I will recommend you to all.

In one's life, we cross paths with an individual for many reasons. We exchange salutations, greetings, and in some cases, a statement of gratitude for some extra gesture of human touch. As, once upon a time, the AT and T logo was "Reach out and touch someone and make a difference," in your case, it was not a telephone call, a telephone message, but rather, it was your "Reaching out and touch someone, like me, and medically, you made the Big Difference." For the past year, I have battled a huge medical debacle; it was a matter of a "physical disability," and you have touched me with your medical knowledge and in the true oath of the medical profession, you left no stone unturned until you had reached the Miraculous Goal. A thank you, now, is in place to be stated in great gratitude, however, it is sad to say, but in time, words are forgotten and the true thoughts are faded away. Therefore, my wife Ines and I though of giving you this Old Arabic gold coin, which came out of our private collection, as a gesture of really "eternal gratitude," because, through time, as memory fades, it will be a symbol of reconnecting and recognizing the Miraculous Goal. My wife and I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a happy festivity season, of course as you say, "in good health."

I like my doctor because he did surgery on my ankle. I feel happy! And I am so thankful! Thanks, Doctor!

I recently had a total hip replacement of the left hip. Dr. Gregory H. Tchejeyan, the orthopedic surgeon from Conejo Orthopedics, performed the operation at Las Robles Regional Hospital located in Thousand Oaks, California. In November of 2001, I had my right hip replaced by a different doctor at a different location. The results of the surgery turned out to be excellent after the full recovery took place. However, the recovery period for this surgery was significantly longer than this most recent operation. Comparing significant factors of the surgeries is as follows: - Length of time in hospital 2001 (5 days) 2008 (2.5 days) - Size of the incision 2001 (10 inches) 2008 (3.5 inches) - Use of walking aids walker / cane 2001 (2 weeks / 3 weeks) 2008 (2 days / 5 days). I used no walking aids 7 days after the most recent surgery. - Pain medication was needed for a considerably shorter period with the most recent surgery. As you can see from the results above, I am extremely happy with the results of my surgery performed by Dr. Tchejeyan. I am a very active person being retired for seven years. I play tennis and golf five days a week. Dr. Tchejeyan clearly explained the whole process that was going to take place and said I would be back to these sports in a short period of time (golf 4 weeks, tennis 6 weeks) and that is where I am right now. I would highly recommend Dr. Tchejeyan to anyone considering a total hip replacement and would take any calls to answer questions about my experience.

Well, we speech pathologists are a communicative breed, but not many write personal notes. According to Nicole at physical therapy, I'm already at 135 degrees and "doing great". Everyone has admired your surgical expertise and the scar is not so noticeable. I'm doing my Physio regularly in earnest 3x wk. and today my knee feels "more normal" than ever. I even bought a pair of "Mephisto" walking shoes for England / Scotland trip in early October. I guess I'll set off x-ray alarms in the airport?? Do you give special "cards" to alert them?? Ha! I appreciate skills of doctors and surgeons, especially my Canadian grandfather, who graduated from Toronto Medical School in 1904, "eye, ear, nose, throat". He was a grand old guy, smoked cigars and played a harmonica. Have a great week - THANKS for making me feel so much better.

Ralph M.

I would like you to know that I feel you did a fantastic job on replacing my right knee while performing my knee surgery. At the present time, I find I am walking better than I did just prior to the surgery!!!

Dane E.

My son and I race dirtbikes and yes we crash sometimes! Dr. Tchejeyan has been wonderful in putting us back together and returning us to a normal life. He always gives us all the time needed to answer our questions and concerns. I highly recommend consulting with Dr. Tchejeyan if you need orthopedic services before you decide on a doctor.
